Throughout the history of restoration of the botanical gardens, we have planted a great diversity of orchids and bromeliads from the Ecuadorian Amazon. All have been salvaged from logged forests and subsequently transplanted into our forest. Gradually pollinators have returned to the forest, thus allowing the orchids to germinate naturally.
